People nowadays focus on goods rather then spiritual/religious values and became materialistic. Children and youngsters spend less time with their family and there is a lack of quality time as a family.
TV and media have a huge impact on children and youngsters lifestyle. Rather take a good example from their parents as a role model, children and youngsters take an example through their behaviour from their peers and celebrities.
Because parents both work longer hours, they compensate by giving and buying them stuff e.g. the newest mobile phone, cars, games, branded fashions etc. you name it. Consumerism starts from your own house. Parents should think how to spend their money and how to arrange quality time with their children. Think wise!!
Good values in the family, relationship between parents and children and the quality living with spiritual/religious values can prevent "The Compulsive Consumerism" in British Family life and also every part of the world, that's what I thought.
Me and my husband try so hard balancing our family lifestyle by giving our children love, discipline, quality time and spiritual/religious values in our everyday life, Insya Allaah. Please make prayer to my little family. I also make lots of prayer to all of you and your family.
